Our Advent Carol service is approaching fast. Please join us at 7pm on Sunday the 27th of November. All are welcome to come and hear our choir and join in singing Advent carols.

Advent carols are a bit like Christmas carols, but, as the name suggests, they are about Advent rather than Christmas. Advent is about preparing for Christmas. It is about making room for Jesus to arrive. Some Advent carols, like Lo! He comes with clouds descending are about Jesus coming again. Others, like On Jordan's bank the Baptist's cry are about the preparation for Jesus's first coming.

Advent is a good time to reflect on what the world a just world would be and to rekindle our hopes for the future.
